Happy Halloween!

Sydney celebrated her first Halloween today, and we have several :) pictures to highlight the wonderful time we all had.

The cutest pumpkin we've ever seen!

Brownie hates Trick or Treat, but she loves spending it with Sydney!

Our first stop was Ben and Sarah's. We loved Ben's costume!

Sydney with (holding onto) her good friend Simon, aka Charlie Brown. Also with my friend Laurie.

The three of us at "Trunk or Treat" at church-we were excited to see so many friends at such a nice event! I'm sure we'll back back for years to come.

Look who else came to church for Trunk or Treat!

Two cute pumpkins...Sydney and her friend Elizabeth McNabb (and my friend Julia.)

An exhausted pumpkin by the end of the night :)

Even though Jeff and I actually had the most fun tonight, Sydney had a good time dressing as a pumpkin for her first Halloween! It will be a night that we will always remember.

Sydney's Baby Dedication

Today was a very special day for our family, as it was Baby Dedication Sunday at Living Hope. Here are some pictures of this special day.

Sydney was excited and thankful to have both sets of her grandparents here for such a special day!

And, yesterday at home she was "Thankful for Mommy" in her Thanksgiving attire :)

Five Months!

Today, Sydney Grace turns 5 months old! The past month has brought our family many happy times...first foods, rolling both ways, more and more interaction and laughs-oh yhea, and continuing hair loss :).

For the past couple of days, we have spent time shopping and visiting, etc. in Nashville, as my parents are staying there for a conference of my dad's.

Sydney got new shoes yesterday, so did Daddy!

Sydney's ready for a swim! The Embassy Suites had a nice indoor pool for her to use.

Birthdays and the Bengals!

This weekend was full of fun for Sydney Grace, as the three of us visited our family in Georgetown Thursday night-Sunday. During this time, she spent her time hanging out with her family, attending birthday parties, and her first NFL football game on Sunday(Bengals vs. Jets).
Out to lunch on Friday with her Mommy, grandmother and great grandmother

Celebrating Avery's first birthday with the Linn's at her party on Saturday

And... another birthday celebration on Saturday night at Granny's "party." Sydney wishes a very Happy Birthday to her Granny tomorrow!

All three in Bengals (and Halloween) orange and ready for the game
Ready for the game with her Nana and Grandpa. (Sydney's first NFL game was quite an experience, thanks to her Grandpa getting us tickets in the Toyota Luxury Box (and a Bengals win!)

"Real Food"

Tonight, Sydney got to try baby food for the first time. Her first veggie is squash....see pictures for her reaction below.

I'm not so sure about this...

"This is a lot better than that rice cereal you've been feeding me."

"I'm not sure if there's more in my tummy, or more on my face."

In other news, Sydney is really beginning to enjoy time in her Jumperoo.

Thanks to her good friend Avery (and her mom and dad) for such a fun toy that Sydney will enjoy for many months to come. AND...Happy 1st birthday to Avery Nicole Linn today!

Sydney in the pumpkin patch

Look at our beautiful pumpkin!

Today, after the race, we went to Jackson's Orchard for the annual Pumpkin Festival. Sydney had a lot of fun helping pick out our pumpkins for this year. It was the best time for all three of us, and I'm sure will continue to be an annual tradition.

Sydney contemplates the tough decision...which one to pick?!?!

Daddy says "slide?" Mommy says "No!"

Sydney's first race!

This morning, Sydney Grace participated in her first race! As a part of the Bowling Green 10K classic, the three of us walked in the 5K. This is an annual tradition for Jeff and me, but was extra special this year since we got to walk with our precious girl. We don't really know (or care) what our time was, but we do know that Sydney finished before both of us in her jogging stroller!

All bundled up and ready to go. (It was 45 degrees when the race started)

Family shot right before the race

Sydney was ready for the challenge!

She decided to kick that leg up for the start of the ride (she's smiling at our friend Laurie Basham)

Asleep at the Finish Line :)

Mommy and Sydney last night at the prerace "Pasta Party"

Sydney's close friend Simon (and his Daddy Cortney) enjoyed the Pasta Party too!

Finally.....the playgym!

On July 4th (over three months ago), Jeff and I went to Nashville for lunch and to Babies R Us to buy Sydney a play gym because we had heard and read such positive things about it. It has won the award of "toy of the year" for several years in a row, and apparently is loved by most 2+ month babies. However, until this past week, Sydney has not enjoyed her time in it very much at all. (Actually, she has cried about every time we tried to let her "play" in it).

Now she loves it and likes to play with all the different gadgets for long periods of time, both on her tummy and back!

Sydney pulling on the giraffe and lion.

She also loves to look at herself in the mirror while on her tummy.

Hmmm...Not such a bad purchase after all. :)

Rolling AND laughing (all the way to Pigeon Forge)

After 4+ months of dreading her "tummy time," Sydney has decided that spending time on her stomach can really be a lot of fun.

She is now rolling over both ways, and does so just about every chance we give her. Check out the video of her perfecting her new skill in Pigeon Forge this weekend.

She thinks her daddy is very silly, and so far laughs the best for him :)

We all three had a great trip this weekend with Sydney's Grandpa and Nana. We enjoyed the shopping, eating, golfing, and just hanging out together.

First Cold

Although Sydney had been battling the sniffles all last week, she had been feeling better earlier this week. However, last night and this morning she has developed a lot of congestion and we visited her doctor this morning to find out that she has a virus.

She doesn't seem to be bothered too much by it, and we are working on it with some Robitussin and nose drops, (both of which she hates) and also our newly purchased ultrasonic humidifier.

Thanks for keeping Sydney in mind over the next few days as she gets over her first sickness. She has plans to venture on her first trip to Pigeon Forge over the weekend.
