Halloween Preview...kack, kack, kack

The duck has been parading (or waddling) around the house this weekend and perfecting her quacks, which still sound more like "kack, kack, kack." She loves her costume, but sees it more fitting to take the duck head off at times. We are excited to have a walking duck this year, instead of a sitting pumpkin.

BG 10K

This morning we participated in the BG 10K event; we did the 5K walk. This is always an annual event for our family and this year marked Sydney's 2nd, and our 6th (we think) time to participate. The weather was really nice for us and we had a great time.

Our little racer was a bit stunned when we woke her up so early this morning to get ready.

Time to finish up breakfast, and get ready to go at the starting line. Sydney Grace did continue eating her banana and breakfast bar through the first few minutes of the race.
------------
Yesterday marks 14 weeks for baby #2, and we had a good appointment with Dr. Gass. Low blood pressure, measuring just right, and baby's heartbeat in the 160's. At this point, morning sickness is starting to really settle down, which I am also very happy about. Sydney is now only 25 weeks away from becoming a big sister, and ~6 weeks away from finding out whether she will be sharing all of her pink with her baby sister, or shopping with Mommy for blue for her baby brother.

Avery's 2nd birthday party

That beautiful little girl that we started praying for (with her parents/our closest friends) nearly 3 years ago, is 2 YEARS OLD! We visited our families on Friday in Georgetown, and then headed to Powell Co. to celebrate Avery's birthday with her.

Sydney couldn't stay still long enough to participate in painting pumpkins, but she had fun watching!

Sydney loved Avery's special birthday surprise and jumped on it before Avery had a chance to herself

Mommy's Little Pumpkin

Over the past few days, Sydney has been visited by both her Granny and Papaw and her Nana and Grandpa! She had a lot of fun playing with them and always likes having visitors at her home.

One of the fun things Sydney did was go to the park with her Granny on Thursday. We have had absolutely beautiful weather here in BG for the past couple of weeks or so!

On Friday, Jeff and I visited our dear friends Charles and Andra (Campbell and Claire) and their brand new baby daughter Camryn in Nashville, and then we had a date of our own. Sydney stayed at home to play with her Nana and Grandpa.

A trip to the pumpkin patch!

Today, we took advantage of this BEAUTIFUL fall weather and made our annual trip to Jackson's Orchard here in BG.

Sydney Grace's favorite thing to do was walk around...everywhere.

We could only get Sydney to sit with us, or let us hold her one time...snack time!

She enjoyed meeting several doggies

The most fun of the day for SGM was pushing our pumpkins around...this was an easy task when she was only pushing her own and her baby #2's small pumpkins.

As you can see, the job got more difficult when our larger pumpkins were added to the mix.

A picture from last weekend's hayride at the Hunt's farm. Sydney pictured here with most of the other kiddos who got to come.
