Our 18 month old girl!

Today we celebrate the 18 month milestone of our beautiful and healthy Sydney Grace. She is the joy of our lives, full of life and fun, and we are so proud of the little girl that she is. She is going to be a wonderful big sister and helper in just a few short months! She is full of happiness and energy and growing smarter all the time. We are praying every day and night for another child just as healthy and happy (and hopefully as good) as she is!

True Love

Simon ("Nimon") and his Mom and Dad came over on Saturday night. Sydney didn't even mind sharing her chair! Throughout the night, they played with every toy in our home, hugged, pushed and chased each other, and even blew kisses as Simon was leaving. These two are just hilarious to watch.

Family Christmas Date

Tonight we took our annual Christmas season trip to the Opryland Hotel in Nashville to see all of the beautiful lights and decorations. We always stop to take pictures in front of the gigantic poinsetta tree.

The three of us are looking forward to taking our newest family member on our adventure next Christmas.

By the way, we had a doctor's appointment today and all went well, and we now know that we will find out whether we're getting another girl or a boy on Friday, December 5th, just two weeks from today. At that point, I will be 20 weeks along!

Open Wide!

This morning was Sydney Grace's first trip to the dentist. She got a good report and all of her teeth checked out well with the dentist.

The waiting room was a lot of fun

Much to her Daddy's disappointment, I didn't get to take a picture of her during the examination since she sat in my lap. However the picture above depicts her general mood during her time with the dentist...

Now we can look forward to many times of fun brushing our girl's teeth!

I have often heard people say that children are like sponges...over the last few weeks, Jeff and I have been especially noticing the fast pace that our Sydney is learning new things. New dance moves :).

We have really been having a lot of fun with our little girl lately!

Some favorite things of Sydney's right now...planes, Simon! (pronounced "nimon"), hugs for her mommy and daddy, Backyardigans, her toy baby stroller, "cookie," dancing or doing "the show," "COWS," "reading" books to herself, meal time :), and "RED!" (as long as he stays at a distance!)

Within the last couple of weeks, she has even been bringing us a "diapee" after she has need to have hers changed...oh well, I guess that's a start!

Homecoming Parade

On Friday, right before trick or treat, Sydney was in the Homecoming Parade at WKU. This is the second year she has been invited to join in the fun. So... right after the band, and the President, and Big Red (aka RED!), and before all the student organizations and their beautiful floats, came this little girl in her red buggy....

Trick or Treat!

Sydney's special Halloween TRICK can be seen by clicking on the short video.

TREATS-the duck got lots of treats on Halloween as she visited Ben & Sarah's and WKU during the morning, and the Homecoming Parade and Trunks of Treats at church last night. My TREAT this week was that I started feeling the movements of Sydney's "little."

Here are a few fun moments we captured yesterday of the duck in action.
