First Bites of Cereal

Last weekend, we JJ got to try his first "real food"...if you can call it that. So far, he is not a huge fan, although I will say that he likes it much better than his big sister. Maybe he will enjoy the baby food more that Mommy is going to make soon!

My BIG Boy!

No wonder our sweet and smiling (and as of late laughing!!!) boy of 4 months is feeling heavier by the second and already growing into his 6 to 12 month clothing! We visited Dr. Chris for JJ's four month checkup today. The results were...17 pounds and 26 inches. He is at or above the 90th percentile for weight, height and also head size. His doctor told JJ "you haven't been missing any meals buddy!" He had a great health report and checkup, all except for those three mean shots.

Coming this weekend...first tastes of rice cereal. Yum! Yum!

Summer 2008 in the sand...

Summer 2009 in the sand...

She loved it. It was her favorite part of the day, and she's still talking about it even though we've been home for several days.

We laughed all week as she bossed her "helper" around. She spent many hours asking for "more water Buddy" and "more sand Buddy." He enjoyed it just as much, or more, than she did.

New Bedtime Routine

For the past couple weeks, when it is time to put JJ to bed, Sydney runs to his room and climbs in his bed ahead of him, and here's what we get to see...

This little girl has always been a fan of bedtime, and she now also loves adding her brother into that routine. I'm thinking she enjoys watching the Big Red mobile even more than he does, and she always gives him sweet hugs and tells him "nite nite brother" when it's time to go.
