We Get Another...

Our big ultrasound on Friday revealed, with no doubt, that we are parents to another sweet little boy! Right after Jeff and I found out the news, Sydney, JJ and Nana came in to see him on the screen too. Sydney waved to him, told him she loved precious.

Here are a couple of pictures of his sweet face and his, well, his little boy parts :)

We could not be more excited that this baby is a boy. Through the first half of our pregnancy, we really had no preference about the sex with one small exception: we thought having a boy would be sooooo cool for JJ.

Adding to our excitement is the fact that this precious baby is becoming more and more a part of our lives every day as he dances around/kickboxes in my tummy and we hear Sydney talking about him a lot. Big brother JJ has no clue but we are just elated that he is going to have a brother so close in age!

It is hard to believe how fast time is moving by and how soon the date January 7th will be here!!!

Special Day

Happy Birthday Jeff! You are the greatest gift on this earth that God could've ever given to me!

I have celebrated 15 birthdays with you and this one is extra special since this day marks the exact 1/2 point of our 3rd pregnancy-amazing!

I love you!...

And your sweet kiddos do too!

Beach Trip (part 2)

Our next stop in South Carolina was Hilton Head, where we spent the week with Nana and Buddy.

Sydney enjoyed some more time playing on the beach and at the pool. A major highlight for her was also the dolphin sunset/fireworks cruise we ventured on midweek. Thank goodness JJ liked hanging out on his turtle in the big pool and his blowup baby pool on the beach because he did not grow any fonder of the sand :). Jeff and I loved playing with the kids, our morning walks together and our afternoon beach dates while Sydney and JJ napped in the room.

Here are some pictures of my sweet babies at the beach and our Hilton Head adventure:

He did enjoy watching others play in the sand!

Proud to dance inside her sandcastle!

Until next time...

Beach Trip (part 1)

This summer we were lucky enough to take a long trip to the SC Coast and grab some beach time with both sets of grandparents. Our first stop was Myrtle Beach with Jeff's family. JJ hated the sand, just like Sydney did when she was the same age. Sydney took a while to "warm" back up to the sand herself, but once she did, she loved it just like last year.

We got to spend 4 days with Granny & Papaw, Aunt April & Uncle Tim and all three cousins!

Here are some of my favorite pictures we captured:

Precious Memories...

More to come soon on our 2nd stop!

Too Much Fun

Today was Day 1 of gymnastics for Sydney. She really loved it and wanted to stay for the next class too. It was my lucky day since her regular teacher was not there. Two college girls worked with her today, so they allowed me to shoot a few quick videos.

Here she waits in the lobby with JJ for the other toddler class to finish:

And here are some of her stunts :)

Can't wait to watch her again next time

Super First Day

Somebody has been very excited about today for a LONG time! She wanted to go to bed early last night ("Mommy, you said I need a good night's sleep tonight"). She woke up (early) with a smile from ear to ear talking about school.

She loved was fun to hear about the 'highlights' from her after I picked her up..."playing outside," "cheese crackers and milk in a little cup," "singing four songs," "painting a sunflower with yellow paint." After this she told me, "I like my friends and my teacher," and "my teacher said next time I earn a sticker, I get to pick something from the treasure box."

How happy and thankful we are that we can provide this experience for her in a Christian environment!

New Tricks

JJ turns 16 months old tomorrow! It is a joy to watch him as he grows and learns more every single day.

He has been taking steps and gaining confidence for the past couple of weeks...and now he is really starting to move. Check this out:

As you can see, he is very proud of himself! I'm not sure what is better about the video...observing JJ and that sweet smile, listening to Jeff cheer him on, or watching Sydney tackle him with a hug at the end.

Here is another great trick:

This may not seem like a big deal BUT before his surgery a few weeks ago, this shot would have been impossible. Now he can also proudly stick out his tongue!!

At his 15 month checkup a couple of weeks ago, he measured at 26 lb, 12 oz (75th percentile), 32 inches long(90th percentile), and of course he is at the very top of the head measurement charts.

Big Week (for our big girl)

This week, my baby girl is going to be starting to do some "big girl" things. She could not be happier about going to school, which starts for her on Tuesday. She was so excited to pick out her Dora backpack! She will go 2 days a week, the same days I teach.

Wednesday, she starts gymnastics ("nastics")! She loves to try on and spin around in her leotard :)

I don't think I'm ready for this...
