We have been blessed with special family time as we celebrate this Christmas.
We have been blessed with these three precious children who are growing and maturing each day.
Most of all, we are blessed that Jesus came to live among us & teach us how to live 2,000+years ago.
Celebrating his birth is definitely my favorite family tradition-Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

December is a great time with kids. We have so many opportunities to take part in fun activities that only come around once a year.
I try to work hard to be organized way in advance so that we can study together, have time for devotion, and enjoy Christmas activities as a family. Our kids will NOT grow up knowing Christmas as a flurry of running around and focused only on presents.
The kids were happy to see Santa and Mrs. Claus the night of JJ's Christmas program at school.
JJ did a great job. (He's in the very back with the Santa hat and light blue shirt.)
I think we have been doing the public library's Polar Express event since Sydney was 2.
This is an event they still enjoy and ask about-and a highlight is always
seeing Santa and getting a bell on the way out of the train.
One night before basketball practice, we stopped in to grab some dinner and see this guy:
We are all three beyond being scared of the cow and actually like him a lot....
This was JJ's first year to serve at Affordable Christmas with Sydney and me.
I was so glad he could work with us and I'm proud of them.
He was a pretty good little gift wrapper and Sydney was too.
It is important for them to be aware and serve.
For several years we've taken a "walk through bethlehem" at a friends church.
The kids love walking through the streets of Bethlehem,
going in the shops and, of course, seeing the Savior's birth!
And we got to visit Vixen the reindeer at Lost River Cave again this year as well.
It's been a great start to December !

Today Luke had his Christmas Program at school. It was beautiful!
He was a happy little boy and has been excited about his big day.
It brought tears (of happiness) as soon as I saw him and that sweet face walking in.
I feel so blessed that we have been able to give him
the gift of Christian preschool at this special place.
I enjoyed every second of watching him jingle his bell,
play his kazoo, smile and sing songs about Jesus.
I know Jeff did too.
I know Jeff did too.
Your Daddy and I adore you Luke. You did an awesome job!

....They want to shop for each other.
This new tradition started last year.
We are truly blessed that they love each other so much and that God wanted them to be so close in age also. They have already finished their shopping and (with some help) their wrapping too.
